As told by the guests of OUR COTTER CABIN

MAY  21, 2017  OUR VERY 1ST GUESTS!

Good afternoon Bob & Linda,

Darvin & I just wanted to tell you what a wonderful experience it has been staying at your beautiful Cotter Cabin.

I must say it was a very unexpected surprise to see the magnificence and cleanliness of the Cabin. We have never stayed in a better place and we've stayed at many!

Everything is absolutely perfect!! We would love to stay again for our next visit and will be in touch.

Chuck is a great son-in-law and a very good carpenter! He along with yourselves and the others that worked towards the ultimate goal of the PERFECT getaway place succeeded!!

We give you 5 stars........

Thank you,

Darvin & Hartness

ANDREW M. AND FAMILY  JUNE 2017

We could not have been happier with our decision to stay at the Cotter Cabin. The cabin has been beautifully remodeled and nicely decorated with no lack of attention to detail. The cabin was extremely clean and comfortable and included everything we needed to enjoy a relaxing long weekend. The kitchen is fully stocked with all of the kitchen supplies needed to cook breakfast or dinner after a long day on the river.

The owners also provide a large gas grill on the new concrete back porch. We enjoyed the outdoor spaces in front and back of the cabin as much as the indoor. We appreciated the large parking area next to the cabin for cars, trucks and river boats. The cabin has all the comforts of home, the owners thought of everything, you just need to show up to relax and have great time.

Finally, the cabin owners, Bob and Linda are very kind, welcoming and thoughtful.

CORBET M. AND FAMILY   JULY 2017

This is essentially a completely modernized 1920's cottage ~2 blocks from the White River, one of the nations premier trout fishing rivers (a Tom Sawyer dream!). It is hard to know where to begin in describing our recent enjoyable trip (mom, dad, uncle and 2 year old). The foundation would be the location, value and quality of our accommodation/home base (search "Our Cotter Cabin").

Pro's:

* Beautifully updated cottage with 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms plus queen sleeper sofa.

* Living room and bedrooms had nice wall mounted flat screen TV's (with cable)

* Good Wifi

* Granite counters with new appliances kitchen

* Gas stove and outdoor gas

* Front load Washer and dryer (new)

* Excellent spa type shower heads with plenty of hot water

* Nice tree shaded inviting front porch

* Nice back yard with patio picnic table and yard fire pit

* Long driveway next to house setup to accommodate RV/Camper

* 3 block walk to "Big Spring" swimming hole and park

* World class trout fishing White River

* 2 excellent breakfast/lunch cafes a stones throw away

* Fly fishing shop next door!

* Canoe, Kayak, Raft trips available on White River *AND* Buffalo River

* Blanchard Springs Caverns, Eureka Springs & so many more attractions await exciting day trips

* The owners/hosts went out of their way to help make our stay enjoyable. They are gems of greater value than the cabin!

Con's:

* Really none, but I will share the following to help those with very specific wants:

* The cottage is very close to the river, but it does not have a river view. However, in evening we walked 3 blocks (Harding Blvd and 2nd Street intersection) and set camp chairs on top of river bluff for amazingly beautiful view of sunsets over White river and barn in distance with cows in opulent green pasture along with sight and sound of train crossing scenic trestle bridge leading into long train tunnel.

* If you are used to big cities and resorts, just note that in North West AR most of the unique and excellent local eateries will close early by big city standards. Don't forget, that cooking your own freshly caught rainbow trout can be done on the outside grill on your own sunset viewing time table (we recommend Alpha's White River Family Fishing guided trips to easily fill your cooler ... will pick you up by boat at the Big Spring Park boat ramp -- just down the hill. Just show up with family, hats, sunscreen, fishing licenses & get ready for fun).

We will be back!
